Bus Driver
What are we looking for?
Curro seeks candidates with:
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with PDP.
- Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role.
- Presentable appearance with excellent communication skills.
- Clear criminal record.
Responsibilities:
Learner Transportation
- Drive school transportation vehicle along designated routes according to schedules.
- Pick up and drop off students at designated stops.
- Transport students and teachers on field trips, planning routes and stops as needed.
- Maintain order and discipline among student passengers in accordance with policy.
General Worker Duties
- Perform general maintenance and facility support tasks.
- Receive and address maintenance requests promptly.
- Conduct daily facility checks to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
- Complete required maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs.
- Inform facilities manager of any necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Perform gardening tasks including maintenance of grass, flower beds, and overall garden cleanliness.
- Assist with security, access control, and traffic management.
Health and Safety
- Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of assigned vehicle.
- Report mechanical issues for timely repair.
- Service vehicles with gas, diesel fuel, and oil as needed.
- Perform periodic safety drills and attend relevant meetings and training updates.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle for safe operation.
Record Keeping
- Complete mileage and passenger count reports as required.
- Demonstrate personal commitment to education and contribute to school values and ethos.
