Overview
Matrashabd Consulting is seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is a full-time position requiring excellent driving skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Follow delivery routes and schedules to meet customer deadlines.
- Verify delivery instructions and addresses with each customer before departure.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues or concerns.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods at warehouses or distribution centers.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of local roads and routes is preferred.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and packages.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
