Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented cashier to join our team at an electrical store in Woodmead. This role involves managing financial transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accuracy in handling cash and payments.
Responsibilities
- Process sales transactions efficiently
- Calculate the cost of products or services accurately
- Accept and process various forms of payment
- Calculate and return change based on the payment method
- Maintain sufficient change denominations in the cash drawer, requesting additional change when necessary
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products or services
- Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts at the end of each shift
- Report any issues with equipment promptly
Requirements
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
