Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our team in Rooihuiskraal, Gauteng. This full-time permanent position requires an individual who can work 8-hour shifts, 6 days a week, including Sundays and Public Holidays. The role involves ensuring the efficient and safe handling of products in our warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks daily.
- Move stock efficiently within the warehouse.
- Perform daily forklift checks before use.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report any discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Comply with all health and safety standards.
- Repeatedly perform tasks with energy to maintain productivity.
- Handle grocery items correctly, ensuring proper placement.
- Work efficiently under pressure during peak times.
- Pay close attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in product codes, labels, and placement.
Requirements:
- Matric certificate.
- Valid forklift operator license.
- Proficiency in English.
- Clear criminal record.
Preferences:
- South African candidates preferred.
- Forklift operator experience.
- Reside within 15 km of the job location.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a forklift driver in a warehouse environment.
