Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Driver to join our team in Barron, Edenvale. As an MHE Driver, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by efficiently moving stock using various MHE trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving Stock:
- Offload stock from trucks to the receiving bay.
- Transport stock from the receiving bay to the staging area.
- Put Away:
- Transfer stock from the receiving bay to the designated aisle location using warehouse scanners.
- Retrieve stock from specified locations as directed by the scanner, verify quantities, and place stock in designated areas.
- Collecting Stock for Orders or Replenishment:
- Receive instructions via scanner to gather stock.
- Locate and retrieve stock from bins, ensuring accuracy in quantity.
- Transport stock to assigned areas and update the system upon completion.
- Truck Maintenance:
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of all MHE vehicles and equipment.
- Health and Safety:
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Housekeeping:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations according to established standards.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Minimum of NQF 4 (Matric or equivalent).
- Experience:
- Essential: 1-2 years’ experience operating Reach Trucks, Forklifts, Power Pallet Trucks, or Turret Trucks.
- Desirable: 3-4 years’ experience in the same roles.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in English.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and time management skills.
- Knowledgeable in MHE truck maintenance, safety principles, and operational procedures.
- Competencies:
- Reliable and able to follow established procedures systematically.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and adherence to rules.
