Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver/General Worker to join our team at our Kempton Park location. This role is integral to our chemical manufacturing process, involving support functions and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift under supervision to manage the logistics of all finished products safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the safe operation of the forklift in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Stack and store Calhypo products.
- Assemble Calhypo loads.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete the forklift inspection log sheet.
- Repack damaged boxes and finished products.
- Operate the shrink wrapping machine and replace plastic wrap as needed.
- Utilize initiative in daily tasks.
- Prepare Videojet solutions when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Understanding of chemical manufacturing processes is advantageous.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Basic understanding of equipment and product abnormality reporting.
- Ability to work under supervision and take initiative when required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks accurately.
