Overview:
Nedbank is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Credit Collections team. The primary objective of this role is to manage and recover funds from arrear accounts to mitigate risk and provisions, in alignment with our business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Collect outstanding balances from overdrawn accounts through telephone, email, or SMS communication.
- Establish repayment arrangements with clients in accordance with collection procedures.
- Utilize predefined scripts to contact clients and recover arrears, aiming to rehabilitate delinquent accounts.
- Set daily targets for the number of accounts to be addressed.
- Ensure adherence to agreed payment arrangements and regular installments.
- Analyze client accounts to provide guidance on managing finances and preventing overdrafts.
- Address customer concerns and direct queries to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Instruct branches to remove holds on accounts and reverse erroneous charges.
- Comply with relevant policies, regulations, and legislation.
- Meet reporting deadlines for management and clients.
- Follow collection and escalation procedures, including standards for communication and workplace policies.
- Stay informed about industry changes and legislative impacts through reading and attending sessions.

Requirements:
- Essential Qualifications: Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Preferred Qualification: Certificate in Call Centre operations
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in customer service, call center, or retail environments
