Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver/General Worker to join our team in Kempton Park. The successful candidate will support our chemical manufacturing processes by operating a forklift and performing various general tasks under supervision. This role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, with limited discretion to deviate from established processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to handle logistics for all finished products safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the forklift is operated according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Perform daily checks and complete inspection logs for the forklift.
- Stack and store Calhypo materials properly.
- Assemble Calhypo loads.
- Repack damaged boxes and finished products as needed.
- Operate the shrink-wrapping machine and ensure plastic wrap is changed when necessary.
- Report any equipment or product abnormalities.
- Use initiative to make up videojet solutions when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience in operating forklifts.
- Ability to perform unskilled tasks and follow established procedures.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work under supervision and contribute to team efforts.
