Job Overview:

We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our HR team and oversee payroll processes across all our company locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring accurate salary payments, and maintaining compliance with labor laws and internal policies.


Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management: Calculate and process employee salaries, overtime, and incentives accurately.

Data Entry: Maintain and update payroll data using VIP Payroll Software, including employee information, deductions, and benefits.

Compliance: Ensure payroll activities adhere to Botswana labor laws and company policies.

Leave Management: Oversee sick and annual leave records on the HR Leave Spreadsheet.

Reconciliation and Reporting: Verify payroll reconciliations against ledgers, prepare monthly payroll reports, and provide necessary documentation for audits.

Employee Support: Handle daily payroll inquiries and resolve attendance or payment-related issues.

Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with company policies regarding severance, gratuity, and medical aid payments.


Requirements and Skills:

  • Qualifications: AAT or Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience as an HR/Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
    • Proficiency in VIP Payroll Software is an added advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and math skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Strong ethics, reliability, and confidentiality.

Job Overview:

We are seeking two Human Resources Officers to join our HR team and support a range of HR functions. The ideal candidates will handle employee onboarding, disciplinary actions, and HR database management while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.


Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding and Recruitment: Manage the onboarding process for new employees and coordinate with departments for smooth HR operations.

HR Database Management: Input and maintain employee data in the HR Database and Payroll Software (VIP).

Employee Relations: Address inquiries and assist in resolving payroll or policy-related matters.

  • Compliance and Policy Enforcement:
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws.
    • Draft and issue HR-related documents such as contracts, policies, and employment reports.
  • Disciplinary Processes: Organize and manage disciplinary hearings and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Leave and Attendance Management: Administer and track employee leave and attendance records.
  • Gratuity and Final Settlements: Prepare calculations and ensure timely settlements.
  • HR Reporting: Prepare monthly and periodic reports as required by the HR Manager.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in HR functions, including payroll processing and employee management.
  • Skills:
