Overview:
The Botswana Prison Service seeks a qualified and experienced Medical Officer to join the team as a Superintendent. This position involves providing medical expertise, ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff and inmates, and contributing to the effective delivery of healthcare services within the Botswana Prison Service.
Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver medical care and health services to inmates and staff in line with Botswana Prison Service standards.
-Conduct medical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment of patients.
-Oversee and manage healthcare operations in the assigned area.
-Maintain up-to-date records of medical procedures and patient care.
-Ensure compliance with professional standards and government healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
–Education: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) or equivalent qualification.
–Registration: Must be registered with the Botswana Health Professionals Council and possess a valid Practicing License.
–Experience: At least two (2) years of experience at the D3 Salary Scale level.
