Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager with stock take and store administration to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and analyze stock movement within the store, identifying trends and making recommendations.
  • Implement effective risk management procedures to minimize stock losses and shrinkage.
  • Ensure compliance with all administration, systems, and reporting procedures.
  • Extract and analyze store reports to assess turnover and stock performance.
  • Present findings to the Store Manager and assist with decision-making.
  • Organize and maintain in-store filing systems to ensure accuracy and easy retrieval.
  • Monitor cash flow and transactional activities to ensure adherence to processes.
  • Uphold store safety and security procedures to protect assets and staff.
  • Process customer transactions via the retail system (POS), ensuring accuracy.
  • Identify customer needs through professional engagement and communication.
  • Promote customer loyalty programs, focusing on rewards and retention.
  • Take the initiative to improve the customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Adhere to visual merchandising principles and maintain store housekeeping standards.
  • Continually develop your product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Work as part of a team to meet sales targets and achieve store objectives.
  • Keep up to date with the latest fashion trends and incorporate them into your work.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification (required).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail or administration.

  • Strong interest in fashion and an eye for trends.
  • Excellent administration and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a sales-driven environment.
  • Proficient in computer systems and retail software.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good planning and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • Flexible and available to work shifts as required.
