Overview

Foods Botswana (PTY) Ltd is seeking dedicated and skilled Processing Operators to join our team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations in milk processing and related activities while adhering to high standards of quality and efficiency.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Milk Reception:
    • Agitate milk (pre-offloading).
    • Sample milk from tankers.
    • Offload milk into silos.
    • Connect reception pipes to tankers.
  • Processing Duties:
    • Process milk according to operational guidelines.
    • Monitor SCADA systems for temperatures, air pressures, and flow rates.
    • Maintain accurate records of milk reception and processing activities.
    • Check water and steam pressures.
    • Conduct cleaning-in-place (CIP) and sterilization procedures.
    • Track detergent conductivity during cleaning.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare daily reports, including total opening stock, processed milk, losses, and invoices of raw milk received.
  • Housekeeping:
    • Clean and maintain milk reception areas and processing equipment to ensure hygiene and operational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:
    • Minimum of BGCSE or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in the dairy or food processing industry.
    • Knowledge of SCADA systems and CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) procedures is an added advantage.
  • Skills:
    • Attention to detail and ability to monitor complex systems.
    • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
