Overview
Foods Botswana (Pty) Ltd, a leading nutritional food manufacturer based in Gaborone, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Foreman to oversee operations in the UHT Milk Factory. This position requires a dynamic leader with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role and a proven ability to drive efficiency, maintain quality, and lead a production team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight:
- Provide regular progress reports on production projects.
- Contribute to planning and managing the section’s budget.
- Maintenance and Scheduling:
- Schedule, forecast, and plan repairs and maintenance using the maintenance planning system.
- Inspect machinery and ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and inter-departmental requirements.
- Team Management:
- Ensure the factory is adequately staffed to meet production demands.
- Train, mentor, and motivate production staff to achieve operational goals.
- Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining product quality.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational safety throughout the factory.
- Reporting:
- Prepare detailed performance reports and present them to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in a food manufacturing or UHT milk processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery maintenance, and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team to meet production targets and maintain high operational standards.
