Job Overview

FNB Botswana is seeking three dynamic Human Capital Business Partners to join our team in Gaborone. This role involves partnering with business leaders to drive workforce solutions that support business performance and foster a culture of innovation, resilience, and collaboration. Successful candidates will act as trusted advisors, leveraging data-driven insights and human capital strategies to empower the workforce and enable sustainable business growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership:
    • Collaborate with business leaders to align human capital strategies with business objectives.
    • Provide insights and advice at executive and management meetings, leveraging data analytics to identify trends and develop holistic solutions.
    • Partner with specialist human capital teams to co-create solutions for workforce challenges and future capabilities.
  • Workforce Enablement:
    • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance workforce agility, innovation, and resilience.
    • Coach leaders and employees to navigate uncertainty and ambiguity, building skills in adaptability and curiosity.
    • Facilitate transformation and diversity initiatives to create an inclusive workplace.
  • Organizational Development:
    • Implement leadership and management programs to build change leadership capacity.
    • Support leaders in driving collaboration, curiosity, and open conversations to foster a culture of trust and learning.
    • Engage with business leaders to ensure job profiles are accurate and up-to-date, supporting various HC processes.
  • Talent Management:
    • Lead recruitment, performance management, talent retention, and succession planning for teams.
    • Implement talent management practices aligned with human capital policies and procedures.
    • Mentor and coach leaders and employees to improve performance and build confidence in key initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Insights:
    • Analyze and interpret human capital metrics to identify trends, solve business problems, and enhance decision-making.
    • Leverage predictive modeling to address workforce trends and future needs proactively.
    • Build and present impactful human capital storylines using data insights.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Ensure compliance with human capital policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
    • Drive efficiencies in human capital solutions to optimize business impact.
    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions that support workforce transformation and digital dexterity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education:
    • A Behavioral Science Degree or related qualification.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in strategic human capital partnership.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead change and foster innovation.
    • Knowledge of industry best practices, workforce trends, and digital transformation.
