Overview
Tsetseng Retail Group is hiring a Shaft Sinking Construction Program Manager to oversee the construction program for a sinking project. This role involves planning, production and operations, procurement, and ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled while meeting safety, quality, and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities
–Project and Budget Management: Plan and control project operations and budgets to meet targets and deliverables.
–People Management: Lead and manage teams to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
–SHEQ Compliance: Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards throughout project execution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Requirements:
- Mine Overseer’s Certificate or an Engineering Degree/Diploma.
- Experience:
- 10+ years in vertical shaft sinking.
- 5+ years in planning, construction, and commissioning of underground infrastructure, including:
- Bulkheads
- Ore silos
- Conveyor belts
- Crushers
- Ore-pass tips
- Sub-stations
- 5+ years in vertical shaft equipping and commissioning.
- 5+ years in off-shaft trackless development.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Vertical Shaft Muckers (VSM) operations.
- Familiarity with mining standards, operating procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Experience in risk management, strata control, quality management, and industrial relations.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 quality management methods.
Advantageous Skills and Certifications
-Project Management qualification or Mine Manager’s Certificate.
-Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling.
