Overview:
Skyways Travel and Tours Lesotho is looking for a motivated and experienced Travel Agent to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with exceptional customer service skills, deep knowledge of the travel industry, and expertise in booking a variety of travel itineraries. Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver outstanding customer service throughout the travel planning process.
-Conduct needs assessments to identify client preferences and requirements.
-Research and recommend suitable travel destinations, accommodations, and activities.
-Prepare and manage detailed travel itineraries, including flight schedules, hotel bookings, and tours.
-Use the Amadeus ticketing system to book and manage travel arrangements (flights, hotels, rentals, tours).
-Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries and requests.
-Stay informed about travel industry trends, regulations, destinations, and promotions.
-Maintain accurate records of all travel bookings and transactions.
-Build and maintain relationships with travel suppliers to secure the best offers for clients.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a Travel Agent or a related role in customer service or tourism.
-Proficiency with the Amadeus ticketing system is essential.
-Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
-Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
-Proficiency in travel technology and reservation systems (e.g., GDS, CRS).
-Knowledge of travel regulations, geography, and popular travel destinations.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
-Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-Attention to detail and accuracy in handling bookings.
Bonus Skills (Optional, but Beneficial):
-Experience in specific travel niches (e.g., luxury travel, adventure travel, corporate travel).
-Fluency in multiple languages.
-Familiarity with sustainable and responsible travel practices.
