Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Medical Officer.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide clinical expertise and guidance to junior doctors, nursing staff, and healthcare workers.
-Review and oversee patient management initiated by Senior House Officers and Interns.
-Ensure the highest standards of patient care are maintained.
-Verify complex diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.
-Conduct daily inpatient reviews.
-Supervise and educate student nurses during ward rounds and surgical procedures.
-Offer technical advice, guidance, and support on policy and medical issues.
-Organize in-service training sessions for junior doctors.
-Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals and relatives.
-Liaise with senior doctors for patient management and referrals.
-Prepare and submit reports to relevant authorities.
-Conduct priority operational research.
Minimum Requirements
–MB. ChB/MD/MBBS/Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.
–At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Doctor.
-Strong understanding of ethical medical practices and standards.
-Must be registered with the Lesotho Medical, Dental, and Pharmacy Council.
Added Advantages
-Experience in a managerial position.
–Postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology.
-Additional training and experience in HIV/AIDS management.
