Job Overview

FNB is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to drive revenue growth across its banking product suite. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating new business, expanding market share, optimizing existing models, and developing innovative financial solutions tailored to client needs.

Key Responsibilities

-Originate and grow market share by building strong client networks and identifying new business opportunities.

-Develop and execute strategic sales objectives to drive portfolio growth and revenue generation.

-Utilize specialized knowledge and informed judgment to optimize financial models and evaluate options within theoretical guidelines.

-Leverage social intelligence to navigate complex client relationships and drive business success.

-Set portfolio targets in line with turnover and manage the opportunity tracking tool to monitor progress.

-Conduct client scoping sessions, roadshows, and quarterly visits to gain deeper insights into client needs.

-Facilitate brainstorming sessions to identify new opportunities and drive execution of strategic initiatives.

-Create and propose innovative financial solutions tailored to client needs.

-Analyze market trends to anticipate client requirements and proactively engage with them.

-Review and manage Management Information System (MIS) data to identify shifts in business cycles or client behavior.

-Ensure that internal trading desk turnover targets are met while managing risk effectively.

-Proactively manage credit facilities to ensure adequate limits are in place for clients.

-Generate new business through cold calling and strategic prospecting.

-Address and resolve escalated client issues efficiently.

-Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal teams, ensuring optimal solutions for both clients and the bank.

-Collaborate with the Investment Banking Division (IBD) and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team to strengthen client relationships.

-Develop and present bespoke financial proposals, including hedging solutions, based on client needs.

-Price clients and manage individual client pricing strategies while recording lost deals for analysis.

-Stay up to date with market developments and provide daily commentary on key financial trends.

-Monitor client volumes, activities, and feedback, reporting insights to senior management.

-Drive automation initiatives, reducing reliance on manual processes.

-Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating strong negotiation, advisory, and problem-solving skills.

-Act as a brand ambassador, consistently delivering on FNB’s promise of service excellence.

Requirements

-Proven track record in sales management, business development, and client relationship management within the financial sector.

-Strong strategic planning and portfolio management skills.

-Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

-Ability to interpret market trends and apply insights to client engagement.

-Experience in financial modeling, credit risk assessment, and structured finance solutions.

-Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver financial proposals.

-Proficiency in using data-driven insights (MIS data) to optimize business performance.

-Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance policies within the financial industry.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex client relationships.
