Job Overview

FNB is seeking a detail-oriented Teller to provide efficient and accurate transaction processing while ensuring exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing client transactions, minimizing financial risks, and promoting self-service banking solutions, all while upholding compliance and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Transaction Processing

-Provide fast, accurate, and efficient transaction processing in line with banking procedures.

-Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring queries are handled professionally and promptly.

-Engage customers with helpful solutions and product recommendations based on their financial needs.

-Promote the use of digital and self-service banking channels to enhance customer convenience.

-Uphold the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles in all interactions.

Operational & Risk Management

-Ensure adherence to banking regulations, policies, and internal controls.

-Maintain error-free cash handling and minimize transactional differences.

-Manage the Rand value of shortages, ensuring losses are minimized.

-Adhere to Golden Rules compliance standards for branch efficiency.

-Optimize operational efficiency by meeting and exceeding transaction benchmarks.

-Maintain security and confidentiality of customer information and transactions.

Sales & Business Growth

-Identify opportunities to convert transactions into new business leads.

-Drive customer engagement by growing and retaining an active client base.

-Support the migration of transactions to self-service channels to improve efficiency.

-Increase market share and service adoption by educating customers on banking solutions.

Personal & Team Development

-Take ownership of personal career growth and complete role-specific training.

-Adapt to changing business and customer needs to enhance service delivery.

-Contribute to the team’s success and overall branch efficiency.

-Demonstrate professional ethics and accountability in all aspects of work.

Requirements

-Previous cash-handling or teller experience within a banking environment is an advantage.

-Strong attention to accuracy and detail in transaction processing.

-Excellent customer service and communication skills.

-Ability to handle financial transactions responsibly and minimize risk.

-Knowledge of banking systems, self-service solutions, and regulatory compliance.
