1. Engineering Technician

Salary Range: R433 824 – R603 180 per annum (Basic Salary Only)
Position Purpose:
Supervise, coordinate, and control domestic metering activities to ensure accurate measurement of electrical energy consumption.
Qualifications & Experience:
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Registration with ECSA (advantageous).
- Valid Code B driver’s license.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
Key Attributes & Competencies:
- Ability to identify colour-coded cabling.
- Physically fit to perform manual duties.
- Adaptable to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Strong administrative and report-writing skills.
- Standby duties required; use of private vehicle for official duties (locomotion allowance provided).
- Medical examination required as part of the selection process.

Position Purpose:
Supervise subordinate staff and perform duties related to meter installation and maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Electrical Engineering Artisan.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Must have own vehicle and a valid Code B driver’s license (locomotion allowance provided).
Key Attributes & Competencies:
- Physically fit for manual operations; ability to lift up to 20kg.
- Works in varying temperatures, confined spaces, and unsafe environments.
- Exposure to live electrical conductors.
- Strong sight, speech, and hearing ability.
- Required to perform standby duties and work shifts beyond standard hours.
- Medical examination required as part of the selection process.
