Overview
Vassco Distributors, a wholesale distribution company, is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team on a fixed-term 3-month contract. This role is based in Silverton, Gauteng, and is ideal for candidates with a strong background in driving Code 10 UD trucks for deliveries. The successful applicant will ensure safe transportation, assist with loading and unloading stock, and maintain excellent records while providing friendly customer service.
Responsibilities
–Safe Driving: Operate the company truck safely to deliver goods to customer destinations.
–Stock Handling: Assist with the picking, loading, and unloading of stock as required.
–Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of daily activities and deliveries.
–Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the truck is kept in good working order.
–Payment Collection: Accept payments from customers upon delivery.

Requirements and Skills
- Education: Minimum of a Matric certificate.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, specifically driving Code 10 trucks; previous knowledge of the food and beverage wholesale industry is advantageous.
- Licensing:
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s License.
- Valid PrDP for Goods and Passengers.
- A Defensive Driving Course is considered an advantage.
- Location: Must reside near Silverton.
