Overview:
Phakisa Holdings (Pty) Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Worker to join our team in Mamelodi. This full-time temporary position is essential for supporting daily operations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment, and assisting with various manual tasks as needed. The ideal candidate should be able to perform physical labor and follow instructions efficiently.
Responsibilities:
–Material Handling: Assist with the transportation of materials and equipment across the site or workplace.
–Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a safe, tidy, and organized working environment.
–Equipment Setup: Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment or machinery as required.
–Basic Repairs: Perform basic maintenance and repairs as directed.
–Stock Management: Load and unload deliveries and stock items in the correct locations.
–Safety Compliance: Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
–Team Support: Assist with other ad hoc tasks or projects as required by the team or supervisor.
–Collaboration: Maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements and Skills:
–Education: Grade 12 / Matric.
–Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential.
–Physical Capability: Ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
–Safety Knowledge: Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
–Communication Skills: Good communication skills for effective teamwork and task execution.
–Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
–Independence and Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
