Overview
Mr Veg (Pty) Ltd is seeking an efficient and productive Extra Heavy Duty Driver to operate Horse and Trailer trucks. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of independent operations, experience in bulk produce buying, and knowledge of cross-border documentation within SACU countries. Candidates with experience driving 30m splitter trucks will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
-Operate Horse and Trailer trucks efficiently and independently.
-Represent the company in bulk buying from farms, requiring strong negotiation skills.
-Ensure compliance with cross-border documentation and SACU trade formalities.
-Adhere to road safety regulations and company policies.
-Transport fresh produce safely and efficiently while maintaining product quality.
-Work long hours as required by the job demands.
Requirements & Skills
–Valid Extra Heavy Duty Driver’s License.
-Experience in driving 30m splitter trucks.
–Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy-duty truck driving.
-Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues.
-Strong negotiation skills and experience in bulk buying from farms.
-Knowledge of SACU cross-border documentation and procedures.
-Ability to work long hours and under pressure.
