Feeder Truck Driver – RCL Foods

Overview
RCL FOODS is looking for a dedicated Feeder Truck Driver with a passion for people and customer service to join its distribution team in Tzaneen. Reporting to the Despatch Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of fresh bread to customers, depots, and sister bakeries.
Key Responsibilities
-Ensure prompt delivery of products in bulk or bag form to assigned customers.
-Verify load accuracy, including deliveries and returns, and assist with offloading when necessary.
-Issue invoices for deliveries and ensure proper documentation.
-Maintain fuel consumption at the agreed standard.
-Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checking tyres, lights, trailer couplings, oil, and water levels.
-Ensure the truck is well-maintained, clean, and in good working condition.
-Report any vehicle defects or breakdowns immediately and take initial fault-finding steps, including tyre changes.
-Follow safe driving practices, adhere to safety inspections, and prevent traffic-related fines.
-Ensure availability on a cell phone for communication purposes.
Minimum Requirements
–Matric (Grade 12) – Non-Negotiable.
–Valid Code 14 driver’s license with PDP.
-Minimum 2 years of experience driving a 3-axle truck.
–Advanced Driver Training Certification is an added advantage.
-Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
