Overview

Kalcon (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to oversee and manage multi-faceted construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient contract execution, financial monitoring, quality compliance, and strategic project alignment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience in managing civil engineering and contract mining projects.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage and oversee major civil engineering and contract mining projects.

-Ensure financial monitoring of contracts while maintaining quality compliance.

-Implement strategic initiatives to optimize project execution and avoid delays.

-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, external customers, and site workers.

-Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental principles in construction projects.

-Oversee site team compliance with company policies and procedures.

-Apply business management principles, including budgeting, resource allocation, and human resource management.

-Provide technical report writing and analysis for project documentation.

-Utilize strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Internet tools, CCS, and MS Word.

-Ensure contractual management in line with FIDIC Suite of Contracts.

-Oversee tendering processes for multi-discipline projects.

-Lead and mentor teams, applying excellent people management skills.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

At least 15 years’ experience in a reputable civil engineering or construction contract environment.

-Strong expertise in contractual management, tendering, and business processes.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple projects.

Additional Requirements

-Must be willing to travel across Botswana and be assigned to any Kalcon project as needed.
