Position: Transport Officer (3 positions)

Overview:
Ipelegeng Transport Trust is seeking to fill three Transport Officer positions within the Operations Department. The positions report directly to the Traffic Manager. We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 minimum. A diploma/certificate in Transport Management is an added advantage.
- Experience:
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience in using radio transmission communication systems.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the bus industry.
- Licenses: Valid EC 0.4 or EC Driver’s License and PrDP.
Job Outputs:
-Analyze shift schedules.
-Conduct bus census and asset control.
-Dispatch buses on shifts and for private hires on time.
-Control overtime and plan DC leave and attendance.
-Communicate with seniors and subordinates via two-way radio.
-Prepare daily operational reports.
-Maintain all relevant registers.
-Allocate DC to private hires.
-Monitor and report breakdowns, loading capacities, and uncovered trips.
-Interact with passengers.
Working Conditions:
- Work under minimum supervision.
- Shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
Competencies:
Knowledge:
- Understanding of the bus passenger industry.
- Knowledge of bus and shift scheduling procedures.
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures regarding vehicle use.
- Understanding of the company’s disciplinary policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of geographical areas within the company’s operations.
