Overview
Sethren Holdings is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its operations team in Mookane. This role is essential for maintaining mechanical systems and supporting project implementation at the mining site. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and be registered with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB), with at least five years of relevant industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
-Design, implement, and maintain mechanical systems, components, and processes
-Conduct root cause failure analysis and technical assessments
-Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery
-Prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, and project documents
-Ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on operational and project goals
-Mentor junior engineers and support staff
-Drive equipment performance and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
-Accredited Bachelorβs Degree in Mechanical Engineering
-Registration with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB)
-Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in mining, industrial, or heavy engineering
-Proficiency in mechanical systems and engineering software
-Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
