Driver Position

Overview
Cape Union Mart International is seeking a reliable and efficient Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting documents, goods, products, specimens, or materials to and from specified destinations according to a delivery schedule. This is a permanent position based in Cape Town, Western Cape.
Responsibilities
–External Deliveries: Safely transport items to various locations as per the delivery schedule.
–Staff Transfers: Facilitate the movement of staff between different sites.
–Administrative Tasks: Perform related administrative duties, including collecting payments for goods and delivery charges, maintaining personal filing, and updating the Jira database.
–Document Management: Ensure proper documentation such as quotations, job cards, and invoices are correctly handled.
–Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly audit and wash the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition.
–System Optimization: Assist in developing and improving departmental systems for increased efficiency.
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric.
- License: Valid Code 8 or 10 Driver’s License.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience working with external suppliers.
- Proven experience in managing a delivery schedule.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management.
- Adaptability and decisiveness.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
