Overview
Silver Lake Trading, a proud KFC franchise partner, is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join its KwaDukuza operations. This role focuses exclusively on company needs β ensuring safe and efficient transport of stock, waste, and recycling materials between stores, suppliers, and head office. The ideal candidate will be professional, punctual, and committed to operational excellence and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport stock, supplies, and goods between outlets, warehouses, suppliers, and head office.
- Collect, transport, and dispose of waste in line with company procedures.
- Support recycling initiatives by handling recyclable materials responsibly.
- Assist in implementing waste reduction and sustainability practices across stores.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and serviced.
- Report any maintenance issues or faults promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, waste, and recycling.
- Assist warehouse and operations staff with loading/unloading stock and materials.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, delivery schedules, and company safety standards.
Requirements & Skills
- Valid South African Code 8/10 Driverβs Licence with PDP (Code 14 advantageous).
- 2β3 yearsβ professional driving experience (retail, QSR, or logistics preferred).
- Clean driving record and sober habits.
- Good knowledge of KwaZulu-Natal regional routes.
- Physically fit for manual handling tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Understanding of waste management and recycling (training will be provided).
- Flexible to work varying hours based on operational needs.
