Shebeshxt Confirms Partner’s Pregnancy and December Due Date During Bail Hearing

Limpopo musician Shebeshxt has confirmed that he and his long-term partner, Kholofelo Chuene, are expecting a child, with the due date set for early December. The revelation was made during his bail application at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 27 November 2025.

Pregnancy Confirmed in Affidavit

During the court appearance, Shebeshxt’s lawyer, Advocate Lot Ramusi, read an affidavit in which the artist addressed his family circumstances and financial responsibilities. In the document, he confirmed that his partner is pregnant and that they expect their baby in the first week of December. He did not disclose the exact date.

The announcement comes a year after the couple suffered the tragic loss of their nine-year-old daughter, Onthatile, who passed away in June 2024 following a car accident.

Details of His Family Support

The musician — real name Katlego Lehlogonolo Chauke — outlined his financial commitments as part of his motivation for bail. He stated that:

  • He has an eight-year-old daughter living with her mother in Krugersdorp, for whom he pays R5,000 per month in child maintenance.
  • He provides R50,000 per month in support to his parents, who are not employed.
  • He contributes R18,000 per month to support his partner’s family.

According to the affidavit, these responsibilities amount to more than R70,000 in monthly expenses, which he argued he must continue to meet.

Ongoing Legal Proceedings

Shebeshxt is currently facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and assault. These charges fall under Schedule 6, which requires an accused person to present compelling reasons for bail. The court has not yet delivered its decision on the bail application.

A social media user, @Am_Blujay, shared a summary of the affidavit’s contents shortly after the court proceedings.

Looking Ahead

The musician’s legal case remains active, and further court dates are expected. In the meantime, Shebeshxt says he is focused on supporting his family as they prepare to welcome their new child.
