Overview

The Ministry of Youth and Gender Affairs invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Principal Project Officer I (Anti-Corruption) under Corporate Services. The successful candidate will coordinate the development and implementation of Anti-Corruption projects, plans and initiatives within the Ministry.

Purpose of the Job

To coordinate the development and implementation of Anti-Corruption projects, plans and initiatives within the Ministry.


Key Performance Areas

-Coordinate development and implementation of Corruption Prevention initiatives

-Conduct sensitization of staff and stakeholders on Anti-Corruption initiatives

-Build capacity for Corruption Prevention Committee members

-Monitor implementation of annual work plans for Anti-Corruption Units and Committees

-Draft publicity materials on Anti-Corruption initiatives

-Coordinate identification of risk areas and prevention initiatives

-Provide secretarial and advisory services to Ministerial Corruption Prevention Committee

-Conduct preliminary inquiries and analyse cases for referral to DCEC and BPS where necessary

-Conduct Transactional Monitoring exercises and implement recommendations

-Maintain the Corruption Risk Register

-Undertake any other related duties as required


Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Sciences

Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience in Anti-Corruption, investigative or related field
  • At least two (2) years served at D3 level in Public Service or equivalent level in a Parastatal or Private Sector
