Overview:
Starke Ayres, a leading supplier of premium vegetable, flower, and lawn seed varieties, is seeking a dedicated Driver with Picker Packer duties for our Gqeberha depot. This role involves driving light motor vehicles to collect and deliver goods, as well as performing picker packer duties in the depot.
Responsibilities:
-Assist Dispatch/Receiving Clerk with loading the delivery vehicle.
-Verify loaded goods against Delivery Notes.
-Ensure goods are clean and saleable during delivery.
-Collect payment for COD orders.
-Return all PODs and COD money to the Depot/Stores/Dispatch Supervisor.
-Collect returns and hand them in with Goods Return Vouchers.
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform daily/weekly vehicle checks.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean, roadworthy condition.
- Report any defects to the Depot/Stores/Dispatch Supervisor.
- Record delivery schedule, including arrival and departure times, and obtain customer signatures.
General Duties:
- Pick and pack products according to customer orders and transfer to holding area for checking.
- Follow stock rotation procedures and ensure items meet quality standards.
- Assist with bi-annual and ad hoc stock counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other tasks as directed by the Depot Supervisor.
- Foster a positive company image through professional conduct.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (essential)
- Code 10 Driver License (essential)
- Previous experience as a Driver and Delivery Assistant (essential)
