Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate winding engine defects to supervisors.
- Plan and manage electrical equipment installation and maintenance.
- Implement and oversee installation and maintenance plans.
- Ensure engineering installations meet standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Maintain compliance with SHEQ, M&RC, and client standards and safety protocols.
- Supervise and motivate team members in alignment with MRC values.
- Control costs and ensure high mean time to failure after repairs.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
- Section 26 Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate.
- Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness and First Aid Certificate.
- Valid Code EB driver’s license.
- Minimum 5 years of mining industry experience (surface and plant), preferably in a sinking shaft.
- 5 years of trade experience as an Electrician.
- Medically fit for underground work.

- Adhere to procedures for handling sensitive materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule project equipment to ensure productivity aligns with project scope.
- Develop and maintain site maintenance schedules and analyze data for improvements.
- Initiate procurement of spares and consumables.
- Collaborate with the maintenance systems manager for onboarding new machinery.
- Create job cards with job safety analysis to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Identify recurring defects and inefficiencies and assist with resolution.
- Provide feedback to the site engineering team and procurement department.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations, M&RC, and Client standards.
- Supervise the engineering planning team in alignment with M&RC values.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent.
- Mechanical or Electrical Artisan Trade Certificate [S26] or National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Supervisory Development Program (preferred).
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance systems and MS Office.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an artisan or in an Assistant Engineering Planner role.
- Experience in an underground/surface mining environment, preferably in a vertical shaft section.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
