Main Purpose of the Job
The Senior Accountant: Business Performance will be responsible for consolidated Business Performance reporting, including insights, analysis, and standardization of reporting frameworks. This role also involves financial modeling, revenue assurance, and balance sheet substantiation, as well as cost recovery model implementation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Recovery Model Implementation:
- Drive in-depth business cost understanding through the Financial Business Partner network.
- Develop and manage Activity Based Costing Models.
- Implement and manage the cost recovery model and associated processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support budget/forecast alignment with strategic plans.
- Compile consolidated budget presentations for EXCO and Board approval.
- Manage the forecasting and budget planning process.
- Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Standardize all reporting frameworks.
- Improve internal reporting processes and models.
- Drive automation of reports.
- Consolidated Reporting and Finance Business Partnering:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in reporting, particularly in revenue assurance and balance sheet substantiation.
- Financial Risk Management:
- Improve processes and controls.
- Resolve audit matters and manage risk registers.
- Approval of Daily Certificate of Balance Accounts:

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- CA(SA) with completed audit articles.
- Registered with an accounting professional body (e.g., SAICA).
- 6 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, and Business Strategy and Analysis.
Critical Competencies:
- Knowledge of IFRS & IAS regulations.
- Expertise in financial analysis and reporting software (e.g., SAP).
- Strong business acumen and excellent Excel skills.
