Overview:
JAIG Logistics (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Code 14 Driver to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably with Scania trucks and side tipper operations. This role is critical to ensuring safe and efficient transportation services across interprovincial routes.
Key Responsibilities:
–Vehicle Preparation: Ensure the vehicle is fully prepared and inspected before each trip.
–Driving: Operate ultra heavy-duty vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
–Documentation: Handle and manage all necessary documentation related to transportation and delivery.
–Safety Compliance: Follow all road, traffic, and health safety regulations diligently.
Requirements:
- License: National South African License – EC with a valid PrDP.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of articulated driving experience, particularly with Scania trucks and side tippers.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of road and traffic safety regulations, health and safety regulations, and vehicle operation, including power take-off systems.
- Navigation: Proficient in navigating interprovincial travel routes.
- Clearance: No criminal record and medically fit for the role.
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
