Overview
A well-established company in the retail hardware and building material supply industry is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Driver (EC) to join their team in Prieska. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of building materials to various locations, adhering to all safety protocols and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
–Material Delivery: Safely transport and deliver building materials to specified destinations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery as per customer orders.
–Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
–Compliance: Adhere to all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety standards while operating the vehicle. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
–Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
–Load and Unload: Assist in loading and unloading materials from the vehicle, ensuring the safety and security of the cargo.
Minimum Requirements
- Driver’s License: Must hold a valid EC Driver’s License and Professional Driving Permit (PRDP).
- Experience: A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience driving Code EC vehicles, preferably within the retail hardware or building materials sector.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of road safety practices and the ability to comply with all safety requirements.
