Clover – Code 10 Driver

Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Driver with a Code 10 license to join our team in Queensburgh, KwaZulu-Natal. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver and collect products for internal customers, ensuring compliance with Clover’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

-Safely operate the delivery vehicle in compliance with the road traffic act (AARTO).

-Adhere to Clover’s driver standard procedures, including maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle.

-Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any deviations, accidents, damages, or malfunctions.

-Follow the designated route plan and logging procedures at delivery locations.

  • Stock Management:
    • Ensure the integrity of stock during delivery, including the control of containers such as pallets and crates.
    • Adhere to stock recheck procedures when required.
    • Inspect the condition of stock before loading and report any damaged items to the Stock Controller.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Verify all audit trails and uplifts before departure.
    • Ensure all Proof of Delivery (POD) documents are signed and accepted.
    • Modify documents where necessary and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Supervision and Safety:
    • Supervise subordinates as required and ensure adherence to all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4.
  • Valid Code 10 motor vehicle license.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience as a Code 10 driver, preferably in the FMCG or food production industry.
  • Willingness to travel off-site and stay overnight as needed.
  • Successful completion of a readiness assessment.
