Job Title: Truck Driver Trainer (Code 14) – Training Specialist

Overview:

A permanent position for a Truck Driver Trainer (Code 14) – Training Specialist is available in our Technical Department at the Kempton Park Facility. Reporting to the Technical Training Supervisor, this role is focused on delivering high-quality training for drivers and external customers, adhering to Air Products SA and Global policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing both classroom and practical training, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

-Deliver and maintain Driver Curriculum Training, including both paper-based and eLearning systems.

-Conduct classroom and practical training and assessment for drivers and operators.

-Ensure strict adherence to Technical Training Procedures.

-Provide ongoing support to Bulk Distribution Technical Training.

-Update and maintain comprehensive training plans and records, both electronically and on paper.

-Drive continuous improvement initiatives and act as a BSP (Best Safety Practices) Champion.

Requirements:

  • Education: Grade 12/Matric qualification.
  • Qualifications: Formal training qualification, with Driver Training Assessor and Moderator qualifications preferred.
  • License: Valid unendorsed Code EC Driver’s license with Dangerous Goods (PrDPd).
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience within the Gas Industry or Manufacturing/Petrochemical industries.
    • 5-8 years of experience as a Technical Trainer/Truck Driver Trainer.
  • Skills:
    • Experience with Cryogenic, CO2, & Packed Gas cylinder fill operations is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and Outlook.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
