Overview:
A leading company in the insurance industry is seeking a dedicated Driver for our Repatriation Hub in Midrand. The successful candidate will be responsible for the transportation of mortal remains both domestically and across international borders. This role requires a responsible individual with excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
–Transportation: Safely transport mortal remains within South Africa and across its borders. This includes transfers between branches and multiple deliveries within the region of operations.
-Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and maintained according to manufacturing standards.
-Ensure the vehicle is in excellent working condition before each journey.
–Loading & Off-loading: Handle the loading and off-loading of the vehicle, ensuring the remains are transported with the utmost care and respect.
–Customer Service: Address and resolve difficult customer-related issues with professionalism and sensitivity.
–Documentation: Prepare all necessary paperwork and delivery notes as per defined procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
–Flexibility: Be willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as needed to meet the demands of the role.
–Adhoc Duties: Assist with additional tasks as required to support the department’s objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Grade 12.
- Valid code 10 driver’s license or higher.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Valid passport.
- At least 3 years of driving experience.
- Must have a clear criminal record.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including internationally.
