Position Overview:
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Code 14 Super Link Drivers to join our team in Linbro Park, Gauteng. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record of safely operating Code 14 vehicles with Super Link trailers and possess a valid PDP. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and secure transportation of goods over various distances.
Key Responsibilities:
–Vehicle Operation: Safely operate and maneuver Code 14 vehicles with Super Link trailers.
–Transportation: Transport goods and materials over short and long distances while adhering to all traffic rules and safety regulations.
–Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle’s roadworthiness.
–Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is securely and evenly distributed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Grade 10 literacy level or higher.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Licensing:
- Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Valid dangerous goods certificate (advantageous).
- Valid medical certificates.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience driving ultra-heavy vehicles.
- Experience in transporting dangerous goods and handling Hazchem materials (advantageous).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in operating an 8-forward manual transmission vehicle.
- Strong focus on road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and the ability to handle and transport goods securely.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical fitness and stamina for extended driving hours.
