Overview
DDR Transport Solutions is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Code 10 Driver with a valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) to join our team in Durban on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, including furniture, construction materials, and garden supplies, to various destinations.
Responsibilities
-Operate vehicles with a Code 10 license and PDP safely and efficiently.
-Transport a variety of goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
-Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are securely strapped and protected during transport.
-Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining safe driving practices.
-Conduct regular vehicle inspections and routine maintenance tasks.
-Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and quantities received.
-Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
-Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to management.
-Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Proven experience as a driver in a similar role.
- Excellent driving record with no traffic violations.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes in Durban.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including loading and unloading cargo.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Must have a cellphone with a working WhatsApp.
