Overview:
AECI Mining is seeking responsible and skilled Magazine Drivers to join our team in eMalahleni. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of explosives in compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards. This position is key to maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding the reputation of AECI Mining.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the correct orders are loaded as specified on the declaration of dangerous goods document provided by the Magazine Master.
- Consistently use drip trays during product transfers to prevent soil erosion and water pollution; collect any spilled product in plastic bags and dispose of it according to company standards.
- Assist the Magazine Master with stock replenishment.
- Deliver orders on time, in full (OTIF), while contributing to building AECI’s positive image with customers.
- Load explosives in strict accordance with the Explosives Act and Regulations.
- Conduct monthly checks on the magazine fire extinguisher and document the inspection.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the magazine area, adhering to AECI’s standard procedures and policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Valid Magazine Master’s Certificate.
- Basic management skills.
- Valid Code C1 (10) driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a Red Ticket and a Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel and Word, with a progression towards using SAP R/3.
- Basic stock control or related experience is advantageous.
- Must be able to obtain First Aid and Fire Fighting Certificates.
