Overview

NAS Colossal Aviation Services is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible Valuable Driver to join our team in Kempton Park on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of airline equipment, company stock, and valuable cargo, adhering to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

-Deliver services efficiently and effectively, meeting the required quality standards.

-Distribute resources as needed to ensure service delivery at the expected standard.

-Ensure the safety and proper maintenance of all equipment, keeping it in working condition.

-Adhere strictly to quality standards and ensure that tasks are completed on time.

-Report any vehicle defects promptly and ensure the vehicle is well-maintained.

  • Comply with company and airport safety and security regulations.
  • Follow company policies and standard operating procedures (SOP) precisely.
  • Transport airline equipment and company stock to and from aircraft, ensuring all cargo is secure and undamaged.
  • Complete and follow the schedule accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure all transported cargo is safely secured during conveyance and up to acceptance by the receiving warehouse.
  • Confirm that no cargo is left behind and return unused pallet trailers.
  • Report any incidents, delays, or damages to cargo immediately.
  • Record and report any faults noticed during the hauling of wagons, dollies, or pallet trailers.
  • Collect import bulk and documents for arriving flights, ensuring accuracy with the import manifest.
  • Handle AVI, import, export, and VAL cargo at Guard-Force and Rand refineries.
  • Collect NOTOC, bulk, and export documents for departing flights.
  • Monitor the loading and offloading of flights to ensure all procedures are followed correctly.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
  • A valid Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Ability to work irregular hours and in adverse weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills, especially for radio communication.
  • Good understanding of airline requirements and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and punctuality.
  • Completion of GSO 2 theory and practical training is required.
