Overview:
Motus is seeking two diligent and hardworking General Workers to join our branch in Rustenburg. The role involves performing various warehouse duties, including stock taking, binning, picking, packing, and ensuring the warehouse remains clean and organized at all times.
Responsibilities:
-Efficiently bin incoming merchandise and replenish inventory from bulk to pick locations according to standard procedures.
-Allocate bin location numbers to new products in the correct warehouse area.
-Update bin locations and report changes to your supervisor.
-Assist with replenishing stock as needed.
-Ensure all incoming goods are received and checked in line with company standards.
-Timely picking of customer and branch orders to meet order cut-off times.
-Pick from bulk locations only when necessary, such as when stock is depleted or when handling bulk orders, to avoid breaking pack sizes.
- Follow all work-related instructions provided by your supervisor.
- Adhere to procedures that enhance customer satisfaction.
- Assist in stock-taking activities.
- Maintain daily housekeeping standards.
- Perform double checks to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and prevent inventory loss.
- Consistently meet set operational targets.
- Scanner Control:
- Issue scanners to all operators daily.
- Manage scanner bookings through the electronic app.
- Inspect and book returned scanners into stock using the electronic app.
- Report any scanner damage to the supervisor.
- Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Grade 12 certificate with literacy and numeracy skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of spares, motor/engine parts, warehouse systems, and procedures.
