Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable Code 14 Driver to efficiently deliver a variety of items to designated destinations, ensuring adherence to time schedules and road laws. This is a permanent role based in Sandton, Johannesburg Metro, and involves operating delivery vehicles, managing vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate records.
Job Responsibilities
-Deliver a wide range of items to various destinations using different routes.
-Follow designated routes and adhere to the time schedule.
-Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicles.
-Coordinate monthly vehicle inspections with the Asset Manager.
-Maintain accurate records, including proof of delivery, driver logbooks, fuel receipts, and toll gate receipts.
- Comply with all National Road traffic laws.
- Ensure vehicle licenses and permits are kept up to date.
- Provide feedback to the Assistant Procurement Manager on potential improvements.
- Coordinate with the National Facilities Manager for deliveries to various clubs.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting weights up to 25 kg.
Requirements
- Matric qualification.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Valid driver’s license (Code 14) and PRDP (Professional Driving Permit).
