Overview
Eskom’s Peaking Operating Unit is offering a Learning Programme for three (3) Learner Plant Operators at the Ingula Power Station. This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates, providing a structured learning experience combined with hands-on training. Successful candidates will gain critical skills and knowledge to pursue a career in plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Engage in both institutional and practical on-the-job training to develop the necessary skills for the Plant Operator role.
- Assist in plant operations under supervision to gain a comprehensive understanding of operational procedures and practices.
- Adhere to Eskom’s training program to enhance technical and operational skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Qualifications:
- Candidates with a fully completed National N6 Certificate with Trade Subjects, or
- National Diploma / BTech / BEng / BSc Eng (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics) are encouraged to apply.
- National N4/N5 Certificate with Trade Subjects
- Grade 12 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Physical Science
- 40% in English
- N3 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
- NCV Level 4 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
