Overview
Eskom’s Hendrina Power Station is offering a Learning Programme for 15 Learner Plant Operators. This opportunity is open to both internal and external candidates and provides structured learning combined with practical on-the-job experience. Successful candidates will gain essential skills and knowledge to develop their careers in plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Participate in institutionalized learning and hands-on training to develop the necessary skills for a Plant Operator role.
- Assist with operational tasks under supervision, gaining experience in real-world scenarios at the power station.
- Follow Eskom’s training program to enhance technical and operational capabilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Qualifications:
- Candidates with any of the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
- National N6 Certificate with Trade Subjects, or
- National Diploma / BTech / BEng / BSc Eng (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics)
- National N4/N5 Certificate with Trade Subjects
- Grade 12 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Physical Science
- 40% in English
- N3 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
- NCV Level 4 with a minimum of:
- 50% in Mathematics
- 50% in Science
- 40% in English
