Overview:
We are seeking a professional driver to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently while ensuring the safety and maintenance of the vehicle. This is a permanent role within the supply chain industry, offering a competitive salary.
Responsibilities:
-Safely deliver goods to various locations.
-Ensure proper loading and organization of the vehicle.
-Prevent damages or breakages during transportation.
-Supervise and assist with loading and unloading as needed.
-Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
- Maintain the vehicle in good working condition.
- Accurately supply the correct quantities and items as per orders.
- Minimize operational costs related to vehicle use.
- Manage delivery notes and ensure proper authorization.
- Collect COD payments when required.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Uphold and promote company values and culture at all times.
Requirements:
- A Grade 12 certificate.
- Valid Code 10 (Heavy Vehicle) and Code 8 (Light Vehicle) driver’s licenses for vehicles between 9001 and 16000 kg.
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant driving experience.
