Job Overview:

-Prepare, clean, and inspect work areas and equipment.

-Handle and stage raw materials.

-Sample work areas and equipment for contamination.

-Sanitize drains and pipes to prevent contamination.

-Perform related administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support:

  • Carry out production tasks following established policies, practices, guidelines, and quality/safety standards.
  • Continuously improve work processes.
  • Identify gaps in current procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Support the implementation of improved processes in your work area.

Inspections & Verifications:

  • Conduct visual inspections of production areas and equipment.
  • Complete pre-production checks (environmental, scale, and equipment pre-checks) as per BMR, SOP, and product specifications.
  • Verify the performance of scales and other measuring equipment.

Material Handling:

  • Dispense, transfer, weigh, and collect raw materials for production.
  • Ensure raw materials are staged correctly for processing.

Production Preparation:

  • Set up production rooms and IBCs.
  • Prepare production solutions according to SOPs.

Routine Support Tasks:

  • Clean and maintain work areas and equipment before and after material processing in line with SOPs and cleaning checklists.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and assist with equipment transfer.
  • Collect production area and equipment samples for testing.
  • Prevent contamination by sanitizing drains and pipes.
  • Assist in sorting defective products and minimizing waste.
  • Provide information to assist with campaign planning.
  • Report operational issues or problems that do not meet specifications.

Reporting & Record Keeping:

  • Complete batch record labels.
  • Fill out Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) sheets.
  • Perform half-hourly production area inspections.
  • Attend shift meetings and contribute to reports.
  • Complete and consolidate standard documents.
  • Keep records and systems updated as needed.

Requirements:

Skills & Experience:

  • National Certification (N3) with 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing is advantageous.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Basic technical understanding of pharmaceutical production processes, procedures, systems, and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and compliance requirements.
