Department: Production – Watergel

Location: Gauteng, Bronkhorstspruit

Job Summary:

This role entails preparing the work area for startup and packaging activities. Responsibilities include producing label stickers using specialized machinery, preparing packaging boxes, operating and inspecting cartridges, and managing shutdown procedures within the Explosives Manufacturing core business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure availability and functionality of safety equipment and necessary tools.
  • Operate the plant according to established manuals and safety protocols.
  • Facilitate communication between KP machine operators and mixers regarding production schedules.
  • Adhere strictly to legislative requirements such as ISO, CIE & 5S Systems.
  • Assist in preparing the plant for maintenance and support repair activities.
  • Conduct quality checks on manufactured products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the production area.
  • Report daily production statistics and any breakdowns.
  • Update production graphs manually after daily production on designated walls.

Requirements:

Formal Education: Grade 12

Minimum Experience: 3 months+ experience in Explosives manufacturing

Certification & Professional Membership: None required
